See you at football media day: Oregon State's Brandin Cooks

Jul 21, 2013

After Oregon State's end to a successful 2012 campaign with a trip to the Alamo Bowl and a top-20 spot in the final AP poll, the heat is on in Corvallis for the Beavs to play an even better 2013 season. While OSU's offense said farewell to star wide receiver Markus Wheaton, there's no question that Mike Riley will be looking to dump the ball to fellow OSU standout receiver, junior Brandin Cooks, to crank out some yards and put W's on the board.

Don't let Cooks' 5-foot-10, 181-pound build fool you. Last year, the Stockton, Calif. native made a name for himself catching 67 passes for 1,151 yards and five touchdowns. His impressive performance earned him spots on preseason watch lists for the Maxwell and Biletnikoff awards. Oh, and don't forget about Cooks being named as a preseason All-America selection by Phil Steele and Athlon. Clearly he's a threat to watch for on the field come fall.
